ORAL HYGIENE FACTS

Being a dentist,I thought this should be my very first post.
Your smile says a lot about you.
It hints towards your personality, your nature and sometimes might also reveal what you had in your lunch πŸ˜‰.
Your oral cavity decides the fate of your other body cavities in a lot of ways.
Everything you put in your body goes through your mouth first.
Here are the some of the tips you can follow for a healthy mouth and clean teeth:-

1. BRUSHING your teeth harder will not make     them any more whiter than they already are.
Use a light hand while brushing and a technique that actually works( blog post on that soon).

2. KNOW WHEN TO BRUSH.
Without going into the very details, I just want to mention that you should at least brush twice a day after having your meals.
Brushing before meals doesn't make any sense.

3. RINSE RINSE AND RINSE
Cannot stress enough on the importance of rinsing. You eat or drink something (other than water) rinse afterwards.

4. LISTEN TO YOUR ORAL CAVITY
YES PLEASE!!! Start giving your mouth the same importance you give to your other body parts. Pay attention to any abnormality however mild you think it may be.

5. GO SEE A DENTIST
You actually need to make it a habit to go see your dentist regularly. A simple cavity can lead to a whole lot of problems and once a tooth is lost, your bank account will definitely curse you then.

These steps will only help you get a headstart towards oral hygiene.
Do consult your dentist before resorting to anykind of advanced measures.

THE SPRING FLING'19 JAMMU: MY EXPERIENCE

It's been really long since i published something or have written anything for that matter. I have missed this space every minute but i had to take a small break because of my ongoing exams which seem to last forever. But anyways somethings are worth mentioning and  That such one this is the recently organized STYLE CHECK SPRING FLING'19 by Mr. Nikhil and Mrs.Ruchi. First of all i would like to congratulate these two for coming up with these ideas and give jammu the publicity and exposure it deserves. Secondly, how thoughtful of you to include us bloggers in your show. Honestly speaking i wasn't really expecting much from it as i am new to this and never really been inside the social circle so much. I love being a blogger and this was an opportunity i would have never let go. So i went, really nervous(obvious but not for too long). The moment at stepped my foot at the venue i was greeting at the door by the organiser himself Mr.Nikhil, we had a little c

OIL PULLING - FOR A HEALTHY MOUTH

We always want the best for us and when it comes to what goes inside our mouth we have to be sure about  it in all ways. OIL PULLING has a lot of benefits, most them related to the oral cavity. It is  a commonly followed practice and is very ancient. The best thing about oil pulling is that it is very easy, costs nothing and takes very less time but if not done right can have some bad effects. It is like using a mouthwash except you are using an oil here. You take a tablespoon full of oil in your mouth, swish is around for 10-15 mins and then spit it out.( EASY RIGHT!!) Though no chemicals are used here and nothing is actually going inside your body, this practice can still cause some harm. So before you decide whether or not to get into this practice, stick around and get to know WHAT OIL PULLING CAN DO TO YOUR BODY. BENEFITS:   1. INEXPENSIVE and EASY: You dont need much for this.        Do some research, figure out which oil will work best for you, consult your
